Today the weather returned to normal.. How nice is it to be here when the weather is normal?  really nice!

Had an OK run today. Felt pretty confident and skied with a good line, but tomorrow I need to charge and attack!

Yesterday we had bluebird, today heavy snowfall and fog. They had to cancel the training after the inspection. There was no possibilities get all the soft snow away. Bummer.

The course is really nice and I hope the weather will be on our side tomorrow.

I just came from dryland, played some volleyball with Swedish and US guys. Didn’t find my A-game, but I still managed to make few nice points.

Nice to be back home. It is not really home, but when you live in a suitcase for 200 days, you start to think about it as your home.

Went for a Super-g training in the morning with some Austrian, Canadian and Swedish guys. Now I’m  trying to watch some YouTube clips from the last years race. It is a lot easier to be at the first inspection, if you have some kind of idea about the slope.

Heard that the surface looks really good, it is hard and compact. Not soft and nice like Sarntal.

Last time I took a train in Norway I got lost. I was supposed to take a train from Trondheim to Oppdal but I took the wrong one and went 100 km opposite direction.

It was in the middle of the night, it was cold as hell and the last train had just left the station and. There were also a Downhill training planned for the next day. Had to call my serviceguy, who picked me up after 3 h of waiting. We arrived at 6 in the morning to Oppdal, but luckily they had to cancel the training. After 1 h of sweet dreaming I didn’t really feel ready for a Downhill run.

Today everything went as planned. Just arrived to Kvitfjell without problems, so there is something I have learned in the past 2 years.

Back in the capital of Finland.
I have two keys in my keychain, one is to my parents place, and the other one is to my cousins flat in Helsinki, so this is basically my second home.

Still a couple training days and on monday its time to fly to Kvittfjell.

Andreasromar.com has been down for a couple of days. I have no idea why, but I think we are up running again.

Super-g in Sarntal didn’t go as planned. I really went for it. Tried  to crush every single turn and after 30s I went to straight over a jump and missed the next gate. It totally sucked.

Sarntal was a bad call this year. I got some good training but the results were not there. I hope Kvittfjell will be better with higher speed and bigger turns. In the end Sarntal is pretty easy and ¨nice¨ downhill. I’m more the guy who likes icy and hard conditions.

7 days of resting and training ahead. Its nice to be at home!

Finaalin jälkeen kävin Itävallassa laskemassa pari FIS-kisaa. Tämän jälkeen oli ajatus lähteä Sloveniaan laskemaan pari syöksy-kisaa mutta keski euroopan lämpimien kelien takia kisat jouduttiin perumaan. bummer. siistiä olla vihdoinkin kotona ja nähdä vähä kavereita.

Se on nättiä, se on helmee! Kauden ensimmäinen palkintopallisijoitus, myös uran ensimmäinen syöksylaskusta, napsahti tänään Italian Tarvisiosta. Kolmas sija tuntui melkein voitolta ja tunnelmat katossa. Tästä on hyvä jatkaa harjoittelua maanantaina.

mahtavaa!!! kerrankin sain onnistuneen laskun! Numerolta 61 seitsemänneksi ei ole näissä karkeloissa huono suoritus. Huomenna uutta putkeen sykätreeneissä. SuperSweet!

3 kisaa laskettu ja tulokset 29, 25 ja ulos. Hyvää laskemista ollut, mutta liian paljon virheitä. Huomenna ansaittu välipäivä ja sen jälkeen lähdetään vauhti finaaleihin levänneenä ja hyvällä sykkeellä.

Huomenna edessä kauden viimeinen Ec-pujottelu ennen finaaleja. Rinne on kuulemma loiva ja numero ihan ok(44), joten ei muuta kun kaasua.

Siisti mesta tämä Rijeka, kuten kuvasta näkyy hotelli sijaitsee aivan välimeren rannalla.

Olympialaiset oli ja meni. Tulokset jäi tekemättä, mutta vauhtia kyllä löytyi, joten katse kohti tulevia koitoksia.
